Job summary

Net-Centers-Net-Community-Care seeks a Resource Parent Support Worker to support resource parents caring for children at the General level of care. You will coach, coordinate services, and report on cases to promote placement stability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, at least one year of direct social work experience in behavioral health, and CPR/clearances. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; strong communication with partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field required.
• At least one year of direct social work experience providing services to children and families in a behavioral health setting.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Summary of Position:The Resource Parent Support Worker (RPSW) provides primary support to resource parents working with/caring for children placed at the General level of care. The RPSW engages in a variety of activities intended to promote the stability of General placements by ensuring that resource parents have the knowledge and skills they need to manage and cope with challenges exhibited by children in their care. The RPSW is chiefly engaged in face-to-face coaching, behavior modification, and service coordination, but also carries out tasks related to communicating with external partners and auditing and reporting on assigned cases.Contact with individuals, their families, representatives of private and public welfare agencies, representatives of professional and community groups, and the public, as well as support and coaching of resource parents are of major significance to the work.
