Job summary

Barrick Mining Corporation is seeking a Manager, Resource Modelling to lead best-practice modeling and estimation workflows in partnership with regional SMEs. You will ensure block models and methods meet corporate standards for defensible technical reporting and disclosure.

The role requires robust geostatistical knowledge, extensive experience in resource estimation, and the ability to guide site teams across data integration from geology to mine planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field; or Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent experience required
• Over eight (8) years’ experience in geostatistics or resource modeling roles required
• Expert knowledge in practical resource estimation with a strong geostatistical foundation required
• Demonstrated knowledge of RMSP, Leapfrog, and acQuire required, experience in Deswik, and Datamine suites preferred
• Eligible to be a Qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 required
• Basic knowledge of mineral processing and extraction methods preferred
• Ability to work within a team environment and excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work with minimum supervision required
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership required

Responsibilities

• Drive Zero Harm culture and provide leadership aligned with Barrick’s DNA
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards for resource estimates and classification
• Support compliant technical disclosure under NI 43-101 and S-K 1300 guidelines
• Evaluate grade estimation methodologies, search strategies, and interpolation approaches
• Review classification criteria and drill spacing to support resource confidence
• Collaborate with site geology teams on interpretations and domaining
• Perform drillhole spacing studies for resource conversion in growth areas
• Conduct conditional simulation studies to assess resource uncertainty
• Identify geological and estimation risks impacting confidence and reserves
• Drive continuous improvement in resource estimation workflows
• Integrate geology → metallurgy → mine planning and exploration geology
• Deliver monthly reports on modeling priorities and milestones
• Provide training to site teams on estimation and model validation
• Coach site SMEs and technical teams
• Perform other duties as assigned
