Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a highly organized MDS Float candidate for a full-time travel role across KY, TN, IN & NC. The position requires bedside assessments, resident family meetings, and travel Monday through Friday with weekly overnight stays.

You will provide MDS coverage, implement RAI-related programs, and collaborate with the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist on onboarding. A three-year MDS background in long-term care is essential, along with multi-state licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), PPS, QM’s, Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

Overview

The ideal MDS float Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, self-motivated, while still being bedside for resident assessment and meeting with families. The ability to travel Monday – Friday is a must.
