Job summary

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Resource Family Trainer to implement contracted training for prospective resource and adoptive families and to complete the home study in partnership with DCFS. The role requires certification in training programs, extensive in-state travel, and occasional outside-hours work.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Social Work or a related Master’s degree and at least one year of child welfare experience, with Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or Master’s degree in a related field with child welfare background.
• One year of professional experience working with families in the child welfare system.
• Spanish fluency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the contracted pre-service training with prospective resource/adoptive parents.
• Deliver and certify in the contracted training program and home study model.
• Notify DCFS staff about offered trainings and coordinate with supervision.
• Conduct home visits and complete required documentation and reports.
• Attend monthly/quarterly meetings and provide feedback on training needs.
