Job summary

The General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR) seeks a collaborative and detail-oriented Resource Development, Associate Specialist to support curriculum development and training programs advancing intercultural competencies, anti-racism, equity, and justice. The role will coordinate resources, design online training materials, and collaborate with GCORR staff and denominational entities.

Located in Washington, DC, the position offers on-site work with potential remote negotiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in organizational leadership, adult learning or related field.
• 1–3 years in education, intercultural competency, anti-racism, and resource development.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to multi-task in a team or independently.
• Willingness to learn United Methodist Polity; knowledge of United Methodist Church theology is a plus.
• Experience with diverse racial and ethnic leaders.
• Ability to handle multiple initiatives concurrently; flexible with changing priorities.
• Position located in DC but remote work can be negotiated.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development of educational materials and courses (synchronous, asynchronous, webinars, etc.).
• Coordinate programs and develop supporting resources aligned with GCORR initiatives.
• Manage contracts, timelines, and deliverables for external writers and consultants.
