Job summary

Health Research, Inc. (HRI) Roswell Park Division seeks a Resource Center Coordinator- SBAC to support daily operations of the Resource Center and Elevate Salon, while training volunteers and improving patient education materials in collaboration with Concierge Services and Patient Education.

The role educates patients and families on cancer information, offering compassionate support and access to reliable resources, and helps develop organization-wide grant-funded programs and outreach

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or related field with equivalent experience.
• Associate’s degree plus three years of related experience.
• High school diploma plus five years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the daily operations of the Resource Center and the Elevate Salon.
• Trains and supervises the Resource Center and Elevate Salon volunteers.
• Identifies, develops and updates patient education materials in the Resource Center with Concierge Services and Patient Education departments.
• Educates patients and family members on cancer information and provides support and access to reliable resources.
• Assists the Patient Experience and Concierge Departments with organization-wide educational and Quality of Life grant funded programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a health or education field

Associate’s degree in a health-related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field

High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time experience in a health or education related field
