Job summary

French Lick Resort is seeking a Security Officer to protect life and property across the resort. The role requires continuous patrols, prompt handling of incidents, and strong guest interaction with professional communication.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to obtain a gaming license, and First Aid/CPR certification. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• HSD/HSED required and a valid gaming license is required or obtainable.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English; respond to cues.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with guests and staff.
• Prior security experience preferred; ability to interact diplomatically.

Responsibilities

• Continually patrols buildings and grounds to ensure security.
• Warns violators and expels persons engaging in suspicious acts.
• Inspects equipment for tampering; notes irregularities.
• Reports hazards, fires and security breaches; calls authorities if needed.
• Maintains key control and inventories; processes sign-in/out logs.
• Generates daily/weekly security reports and attends trainings.
• Provides customer service in a professional manner to guests.
