Job summary

Kingston Resorts in Myrtle Beach is seeking a security professional to patrol interior and exterior areas, identify safety risks and respond to emergencies during the 2nd shift. This full-time, year-round role requires vigilance, strong communication and the ability to follow procedures to protect guests, team members and property.

You will write incident reports, assist guests, and work with hotel leadership to promote safe practices.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of security experience in a similar industry; 3-5 years preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the floor plans and layout of the building(s) and local area.
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests and staff in English.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs as needed.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature ranges.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and perimeter to identify safety and security risks.
• Respond to emergencies including hazards, fires, medical incidents and threats.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents.
• Write reports and ensure accurate documentation.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
