Mountain Capital Partners, LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Retail Buyer / Merchandiser to drive product vision, purchasing strategy, and revenue at our resort retail locations. You will oversee the full product lifecycle from sourcing outdoor gear, gear, and souvenir merchandise to managing vendor relationships and inventory, while leading visual merchandising to enhance guest experience.

The role requires 2+ years in retail buying or merchandising, a Bachelor’s degree, proficiency with POS

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general retail buying, purchasing, inventory management, or visual merchandising across any consumer retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Merchandising, Business, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in margin analysis, Open-to-Buy planning, and inventory tracking.
• Creative eye for visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work full-time year-round, including peak resort weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, select, and order outdoor gear, technical apparel, accessories, and branded merchandise across seasons.
• Vendor management: negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory turns, stock levels, and sell-through; manage Open-to-Buy budget.
• Design dynamic visual displays, floor layouts, and product arrangements reflecting seasonal changes.
• Enter buy sheets, purchase orders, receiving data, price changes, and markdowns into the POS/inventory system.
• Partner with Retail Sales to gather guest feedback, train staff on new lines, and assist on the floor during peak periods.
