Job summary

Camelback Resort in Tannersville, PA is seeking a Public Area Attendant to keep lobby, dining areas, walkways, and outdoor spaces spotless. You will clean interiors and exteriors, respond to guest requests, and support safety and presentation across the resort.

This full-time role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment. Paid training and seasonal perks are offered to support professional development and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and public area maintenance standards.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and pressure washers.
• Ability to properly clean and maintain various surfaces, including carpet, tile, glass, and concrete.
• Ability to safely handle, use, and store cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, prioritize assigned tasks, and maintain cleanliness standards in high-traffic areas.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and areas requiring additional cleaning.
• Ability to follow proper waste disposal procedures, including handling trash, recyclables, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Ability to use PPE and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors with varying weather conditions.
• Ability to carry up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Smile and create a welcoming first impression for all guests.
• Thoroughly clean using approved cleaning agents and equipment.
• Vacuum lobby, offices, and public indoor areas as needed.
• Empty trash and maintain cleanliness throughout hotel and exterior spaces.
• Sweep and mop lobby, restaurants, and public restrooms.
• Clear debris, dust, and maintain all public-facing areas.
• Maintain exterior spaces including parking lots, walkways, and resort entrances.
• Power wash exterior surfaces and assist with outdoor cleanliness and presentation.
• Clean resort entry doors regularly to maintain a smudge-free appearance.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of outdoor furniture and guest areas.
• Keep passkey or master key secure and return to Security at end of shift.
• Report maintenance issues and lost & found items to Public Area Supervisor.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to guest requests.
• Provide directions, assistance, and general resort information.
• Support guest and team safety in emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
