Key Responsibilities of the Pool Attendant:
- Maintains cleanliness of facility operations according to established daily maintenance procedures.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities.
- Answers guest questions regarding such programs.
- Records all cash, check, and charges based on established cash control procedures.
- Maintains understanding of operating procedures for pool, bikes, boats, and fitness equipment.
- Completes checklist for opening, closing, and daily procedures.
- Takes direction from Facility Coordinator, Special Event and Youth Coordinator, and Conference Recreation Coordinator.
- Assists in the implementation of programs, youth programs, special events, and conference recreation events.
- Provides a safe environment within facilities and activities.
- Processes recreation reservations as needed.
- Sets up furniture and pool umbrellas.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Checks in members to the pool area and performs general cleaning duties.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Possesses a high level of energy, initiative, enthusiasm, cooperation, and exercises good judgment and discretion.
- Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., frequently lifting up to 30 lbs., and constantly lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Performs activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Works indoors and outdoors.
Minimum Qualifications for the Pool Attendant:
- No prior experience or training required.
Other Qualifications:
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
