Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a maintenance-focused team member to support our resort properties in Connecticut. The role involves outdoor maintenance, repairs to units and facilities, irrigation and grounds care, and ensuring clean, safe, and inviting environments for guests and staff.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of campground/RV maintenance experience, and comfort with hand tools, power equipment, and basic reporting. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (Required).
6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance techniques and repair work.
Ability to endure seasonal outdoor work conditions.
General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
Ability to provide legible written reports.
Ability to work well independently or in a team.
Must lift at least 50 pounds.
Basic computer skills and email usage.
On-call availability for resort needs.

Responsibilities

Empty trash and perform maintenance or repair duties using hand tools and power equipment.
Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed.
Inspect irrigation, playgrounds, pools, and other amenities for issues and perform minor repairs.
Maintain resort grounds, weed control, mulching, and lawn care.
Ensure resort is clean, presentable, and adheres to curb appeal standards.
Maintain resort vehicles and equipment and follow safety procedures.
Report maintenance issues to the Resort Manager.
