Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across resort properties, ensuring clean, safe, and well-kept grounds and facilities. You will handle repairs, operate tools and power equipment, and support guest and resident satisfaction while maintaining curb appeal.

The role requires outdoor work in seasonal temperatures, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in campground/RV resort maintenance preferred.
• Broad knowledge of maintenance techniques and repairs.
• Able to work outdoors in seasonal temperatures.
• General janitorial, plumbing, and grounds maintenance knowledge.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment and commercial machinery.
• Must be able to write legible reports.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills; email and internet use.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and perform maintenance using hand tools and power equipment.
• Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs (plumbing, sewage, construction).
• Inspect irrigation systems and repair as needed.
• Inspect playgrounds, pools, and amenities for condition and safety.
• Maintain resort grounds with landscaping and lawn care tasks.
• Ensure resort is presentable and adheres to curb appeal standards.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors.
• Carry out other duties and special projects as assigned.
