Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska is seeking a Laborer to assist with general construction, woodworking, finishing and touch-ups around the resort. The role involves loading and unloading materials, operating tools, and helping trades on-site in a dynamic, outdoor environment.

Starting wage is from $19 per hour. There is employee housing for a small fee, plus flexible schedules, paid time off, holidays, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Good customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• General construction, woodworking, finishing and touch-ups around the Resort.
• Loading and unloading tools or raw materials.
• Assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment.
• Digging or filling pits during construction.
• Clearing debris from construction structures.
• Operating light and heavy equipment.
• Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material.
• Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site.
• Handle and transport materials and equipment.
• Follow supervisor instructions for manual labor tasks.
• Help set up and transfer temporary structures.
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain and repair painted surfaces and wall coverings.
