Job summary

Boyne Mountain Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and mentor a team, ensuring spotless guest rooms and public areas while maintaining high hospitality standards.

Responsibilities include planning daily tasks, training staff, handling guest concerns, and coordinating with other departments. The ideal candidate has housekeeping experience, strong communication, and leadership abilities, and is available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• You have previous housekeeping experience.
• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• You have achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• You have exceptional attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and are well organized.
• You are able to lead a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all resort areas for cleanliness, including guest rooms, meeting rooms, corridors, elevators, restrooms, stairwells, and all other public spaces.
• Instruct team members in basic cleaning duties and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
• Becoming familiar with Boyne’s accommodations, meeting facilities, common areas, and furnishings.
• Prepare daily assignments for subordinates and review duties of the day.
• Handle documentation for staff who do not follow rules, in consultation with supervisors.
• Maintain continuous training and development for team members.
• Complete all required checklists and submit to lead supervisor.
• Handle unusual requests and guest concerns, notifying proper personnel as needed.
• Be knowledgeable about chemicals and equipment used.
• Assist room attendants when necessary.
• Check staffing schedule daily and communicate changes that affect staff.
• Provide supervision and assistance for all housekeeping staff.
• Directly supervise 30–50 team members in housekeeping and oversee supervisors' activities.
• Interview, hire, and train team members; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline; address complaints and resolve problems.
