Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Housekeeper to clean resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to keep them presentable and sanitary.

The role requires at least a High School Diploma or GED and includes responsibilities like cleaning surfaces, sanitizing appliances, and maintaining safe, orderly environments. Training is provided and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety measures when using cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Basic computer use including email and internet.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed.
• Cleans appliances to remove food particles, mold and mildew.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; ensures safety.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or defective equipment.
• Maintain overall appearance of resort facilities and properties.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, and buff floors as needed.
• Clean and functioning windows and screens.
• Maintain washers and dryers; wipe surfaces and lint.
• Ensure offices and buildings are clean and organized.

Job description

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
