Job summary

Sun Outdoors in the United States is seeking a Resort Housekeeper to maintain resort facilities, buildings and rental properties, ensuring a clean, sanitary, and presentable environment for guests.

You will clean, sanitize, stock areas, follow established safety procedures, and help keep offices, corridors and common areas well maintained. The role offers $15 per hour with sick leave and access to Sun Rewards and learning programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of experience cleaning homes or large facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of general janitorial work.
• Knowledge of safety measures when using cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Basic computer proficiency including email and internet.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and stock areas with products as needed.
• Clean appliances and defrost freezer as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms; ensure lighting and safety mats.
• Follow safety procedures; report hazards to manager.
• Maintain overall appearance of resort, buildings and facilities.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, and buff floors as needed.
• Clean windows and screens; ensure they are functioning properly.
• Maintain washers and dryers; wipe surfaces, remove lint.
• Keep offices and buildings clean and neat; empty trash as needed.
• Clean vents and change filters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
