Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a dependable cleaner to support housekeeping across resort facilities in Florida. The role involves cleaning, sanitizing, stocking spaces, and ensuring safe, well-maintained environments for guests and staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of housekeeping or large facility experience. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are required. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas as needed, ensuring tables and chairs are clean and functioning.
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances; defrosts freezer as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; maintains lighting and safety mats.
• Follows safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or defective equipment.
• Maintains overall appearance of resort and facilities.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, waxes, and buffs floors as needed.
• Cleans windows and screens; maintains washers and dryers.
• Keeps offices and buildings clean and neat; takes out trash.
• Cleans vents and filters as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
