Job summary

Sun Outdoors in Homosassa Springs, FL is seeking a Resort Housekeeper to keep resort facilities, buildings and rental properties clean and sanitary at all times.

You will perform duties such as cleaning, sanitizing, stocking areas, maintaining bathrooms, floors, windows, and laundry areas, following safety procedures, and lifting up to 25 pounds. A valid driver’s license and prior cleaning experience are preferred. Position offers daily pay and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in cleaning homes or large facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of safety measures with cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and use basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed.
• Cleans appliances and bathrooms and ensures safety measures.
• Cleans floors, windows, and maintains general neatness.
• Reports unsafe conditions and maintains facility appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
