Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Housekeeper to regularly clean resort facilities and rental properties, ensuring a sanitary and presentable environment.

You will perform duties across indoor and outdoor areas, follow safety procedures, and drive to various locations on the property, with opportunities for learning and growth in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience cleaning large facilities preferred (6 months).
• Knowledge of safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products.
• Cleans appliances and defrosts freezer as needed.
• Cleans bathrooms, ensures lighting and safety.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards.
• Maintains clean appearance of resort buildings.
• Cleans floors, windows, and vents as needed.
• Maintains washers and dryers.
• Empties trash and keeps offices neat.
• Drives to transport supplies and travel within property.
• Other duties as assigned.

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Driving is an essential function of the role and business necessity as the Resort Housekeeper must independently complete various tasks such as transporting cleaning supplies and chemicals to different facilities, servicing spread-out rental properties, moving heavy trash and equipment across the resortand travel within the property and to nearby locations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
