Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a resort housekeeper in the Orlando area to maintain clean, sanitary facilities and rental properties. You will clean bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and common equipment, stock supplies, and ensure safe, welcoming environments for guests.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, some cleaning experience, knowledge of safety protocols with cleaning chemicals, and the ability to lift 25 pounds. This is a part-time, on-site position with benefits available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with cleaning products.
• Cleans appliances and defrosts freezer as needed.
• Cleans bathrooms, ensures lighting, and safety mats.
• Follows safety procedures and reports hazards.
• Maintains overall cleanliness of resort facilities.
• Cleans floors, windows, and vents as needed.
• Maintains washers and dryers and empties trash.
• Other duties as assigned.

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
