Job summary

Cal-Am Properties, Inc. is seeking a Landscaping & Maintenance team member to maintain resort and community grounds in Surprise, AZ. The role requires physical work, operation of lawn equipment, and adherence to maintenance standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 7am–4pm with potential weekend support. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $21.50 per hour plus benefits, including medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave, and 401K.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift heavy equipment.
• Familiar with maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers and hedge trimmers.
• Problem identification and resolution.
• Work independently and pay close attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lawns, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other grounds features.
• Mows and edges lawns with various mowers and edgers.
• Cares for lawns by mulching, weeding, and trimming plants.
• Maintains flower beds by pruning, weeding and watering as needed.
• Prunes and trims trees, shrubs, and hedges with pruning tools.
• Plants flowers and trees.
• Applies fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides as needed.
• Maintains ground equipment and performs repairs/preventive maintenance.
• Operates powered lawn equipment such as mowers and clippers.
• Reports maintenance concerns or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Assists in preparing vacancies to market-ready condition.
• Keeps maintenance log and completes routine tasks.
• Drives company vehicle for resort/community operations.
