Job summary

Cal-Am Properties, Inc. is seeking an individual for Landscaping & Maintenance to maintain lawns, grounds and common areas at our Resort/Community. The role runs Monday through Friday, typically 7am–4pm, with occasional weekend work for emergencies.

Compensation is $20.00–$21.50 per hour with medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave and 401K benefits. Responsibilities include mowing, edging, planting, pruning, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift heavy equipment.
• Familiar with maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers and hedge trimmers.
• Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lawns, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other grounds features.
• Mows and edges lawns, using power mowers, push mowers, and/or edger’s.
• Cares for lawns by laying mulch, removing weeds, and trimming trees and plants.
• Maintains flower beds by pruning, weeding and watering as needed.
• Prunes and trims trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Plants flowers and trees.
• Mixes and sprays or spreads fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees.
• Maintains the ground equipment which may include repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
