Job summary

Brittain Resorts & Hotels in Myrtle Beach seeks a reliable Groundskeeper to maintain pristine resort grounds and assist with landscaping and general maintenance. You will support guest satisfaction by keeping outdoor areas clean, safe, and welcoming, with regular plant care and debris removal.

This role requires stamina for long periods outdoors, ability to work weekends/holidays, and strong teamwork. Weekly pay and benefits are offered in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resort grounds daily to keep landscaping, parking, walkways clean and attractive.
• Keep storage, shops and mechanical areas clean, report improvements to Chief Engineer.
• Respond to guest issues and inform front desk when actions are complete.
• Clear trash, weeds, and debris; water plants and manage mulching/maintenance as directed.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance and inventory of supplies; ensure equipment is safe to use.

Overview

Groundskeepers provide a welcoming environment for our guests by maintaining the cleanliness of resort grounds, performing landscaping duties, and working on various maintenance and grounds projects.

Responsibilities

Groundskeeper responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintains the grounds daily, including keeping landscaping, parking, walkways, and other areas on resort grounds clean, safe, and attractive
• Maintains all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, and secure manner, reporting to the Chief Engineer any corrective actions that need to be taken
• Promptly respond to reports of guest problems or concerns and informs the front desk/Chief Engineer when action is complete
• Responsible for clearing all trash, weeds, brush and debris from the resort grounds
• Responsible for watering all plants and flowers located on resort grounds
• Responsible for weeding, mulching and tree trimming whenever necessary or as directed (This will require the use of equipment such as sheers, blade saw and other gardening tools.)
• Responsible for the maintenance of plant life throughout the resort
• Cleans resort grounds and removes litter and trash on a daily and consistent basis
• Responsible for the care, maintenance, and inventory of all grounds keeping supplies used as part of the groundskeeper role and ensures they are safe and in good working conditions
• Sweeps or blows all resort roadside entrances, walkways and resort back areas
• Performs daily walk-through of the resort grounds and identifies, reports as well as addresses areas with immediate grounds keeping needs
• Keeps Chief Engineer promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance so that prompt corrective action can be taken
• Performs job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guests
• Other duties as assigned
