Job summary

Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ seeks a Buildings and Grounds Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance across plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems. You will perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems, respond to work orders quickly, and assist in tree trimming as needed.

You must be able to work in all weather conditions, interact with other departments to meet resort goals, and lift up to 50 lbs, with a flexible schedule including weekends and overtime when required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Mechanical aptitude with plumbing and HVAC skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Trade school or 2–5 years field experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance including plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
• Preventative maintenance of heating and cooling systems.
• Respond to work orders promptly and follow directions.
• Work in all weather conditions and perform tree trimming as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to achieve resort objectives.
• Work safely and protect themselves and others.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the manager.
