Job summary

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo is seeking a Resort Experience Supervisor to coordinate activities and special events across our Attractions department, interfacing with RR & TM, Excursions, Scuba, Tennis, and more.

You will lead the Activities/Kids Club team, assist with training, manage performance, and ensure safety and guest satisfaction while upholding Westgate's values.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in activity planning for adults and children.
  • Must lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
  • Weekend/holiday availability required.
  • Must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license.
  • Smoke-free workplace; non-smokers preferred.
  • Ability to pass background check and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activity and event programs.
  • Assist in setup and breakdown for special events.
  • Manage Activities/Kids Club team.
  • Assist with training and supervise staff.
  • Interview, hire, and evaluate team members.
  • Organize and update department files.
  • Plan parties for owners, guests, and team members.

Job Description

As a Resort Experience Supervisor, you will be responsible for communicating and working with Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism Management (RR & TM), Excursions, Scuba, Tennis, Caricature Artists, etc. In order to facilitate products and services for the Activities department.

As a Resort Experience Supervisor, you will:
  • Coordinate activity and special event programs using themed concepts
  • Assist in set-up and breakdown for special events
  • Manages subordinate team members in the Activities/Kids Club department
  • Assist with training
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Organize and update department files
  • Plan parties for owners, guests, and team members
  • Formulate an environment, which will increase team members’ morale and motivation, and promote team spirit
  • Take charge of the department in absence of the manager
  • Order, inventory, and distribute logo merchandise and sports equipment
  • Prepare daily and monthly records and procedures for logo merchandise, marketing materials and other purchases in accordance with CFI and Westgate Resorts accounting
  • Collect daily written reports about the Fitness Center and Game Room
  • Organize vendor reports and collect monthly payments
  • Write up subordinate team member performance evaluations; ability to enforce disciplinary procedures
  • Attend manager meetings and participate in team member orientation tours
  • Power and responsibility to cancel various activities when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participants
  • Cooperate with recreation and non-recreation personnel
  • Act as team leader for Resort Experience Department regarding resort service standards
  • Contact person for entertainment regarding special events
  • Stock special event supplies on a weekly basis
  • Performs weekly inspections of recreational sites
  • Replacement of nets, repairing and repainting equipment as needed
  • Contact person for contractors regarding repairs and replacement of recreational courts, playground, dock, fitness center, etc
  • Ability to design, create and upkeep decorations

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
