Job summary

Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences in Riviera Beach, FL is seeking a Chief Engineer responsible for the administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the Engineering Department to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the property.

You will supervise and develop the Engineering team, manage budgets and forecasts, and maintain compliance with all regulations. The role emphasizes lifecycle maintenance, life safety systems, and guest satisfaction within a luxury resort context.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop all Engineering staff with a focus on customer service and loss prevention.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules aligned with operations.
• Prepare, manage, and adhere to the annual Engineering department budget.
• Develop financial forecasts and participate in monthly P&L reviews.
• Maintain facilities, equipment, grounds, and assets in excellent condition.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems.
• Inspect and certify all life safety and emergency systems.
• Address guest room and facility maintenance requests promptly and courteously.
• Respond to alarms, determine root cause, and take appropriate action.
• Assist capital projects, renovations, and special initiatives as needed.
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Review guest feedback to identify issues and implement timely corrections.
• Ensure ADA compliance and manage related documentation.
• Administer and manage vendor contracts for Engineering.
• Lead Safety Committee activities and safety initiatives.
