Job summary

The Kingston Resorts invites applications for a Chief Engineer at the Hilton Myrtle Beach property. This role oversees engineering operations across the resort, ensuring equipment performance, safety and guest comfort.

You will screen candidates, staff training, manage budget within limits, enforce standards, and lead maintenance and code compliance across buildings. A multi-building hotel experience and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle multiple functions.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Knowledge of hotel maintenance including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, etc.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or similar management experience.
• Hotel maintenance experience is required, preferably with a multi-building property.
• 3 years: Chief Engineering in a hotel or resort.
• 5 years: Management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applicant screening and interviews for Engineering positions.
• Make recommendations as to hiring, advancement, discipline and promotion to Director of Engineering.
• Ensures department spending held within budgetary limits online spending.
• Ensures the directives and standards are followed and maintained within department.
• Staff training, assignments and supervision.
• Ensures quality performance in staff assignments.
• Ensures building code and quality standards at departmental and interdepartmental levels.
• Monitors equipment and special preventative maintenance standards to ensure quality product.
