Job summary

Kingston Resorts is a large oceanfront property in Myrtle Beach seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance team across Hilton Myrtle Beach and related properties. This role drives quality, safety, and operational excellence in HVAC, electrical, carpentry and building systems.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of senior maintenance or management experience, strong leadership and budget oversight to ensure guest satisfaction and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or similar management experience.
• Hotel maintenance experience required, preferably with a multi-building property.
• Ability to handle multiple functions.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Knowledge of hotel maintenance including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, etc.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applicant screening and interviews for Engineering positions.
• Make recommendations as to hiring, advancement, discipline and promotion to Director of Engineering.
• Ensures department spending held within budgetary limits online spending.
• Ensures the directives and standards are followed and maintained within department.
• Staff training, assignments and supervision.
• Ensures quality performance in staff assignments.
• Ensures building code and quality standards at departmental and interdepartmental levels.
• Monitors equipment and special preventative maintenance standards to ensure quality product.
