Job summary

Wildhorse Resort is seeking a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, seat them, relay specials, and assist staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will handle payments at the cash register, verify transactions, and help maintain a smooth dining room flow.

Requirements include six months of customer relations and cashier experience, the ability to count change accurately, and a professional demeanor. A Food Handler Certification and OLCC card are required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in a position requiring exceptional customer relations skills.
• Six (6) months of cashier experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to count back change accurately and efficiently.
• Effective communication skills-verbally ability to provide instruction, responds to questions and has exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
• Needs to stand and/or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers; bend, lift, and maneuver 25 lbs.
• Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
• Possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.
• Requires a High-Security Gaming license clearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and escort them to tables; provide information on specials.
• Handle checkout and cash register operations; process payments.
• Promote guest service and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Maintain knowledge of menu and events; assist with seating and flow of dining room.
