Job summary

Homewood Mountain Resort, part of Discovery Land Company, is seeking a Beverage Manager to lead beverage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships across the resort. You will optimize costs, ensure compliance, and elevate the beverage program with strong leadership and hands-on oversight of outlets.

The role requires 3+ years in beverage management within hospitality, a relevant degree preferred, and CA certifications or the ability to obtain them prior to start.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of beverage management, purchasing, or bar management experience required.
• Prior resort, hotel, or multi-outlet hospitality experience required.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to train others and maintain accountability.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current Food Handler and California RBS certifications (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Manage beverage purchasing for all outlets, ensuring timely orders based on demand.
• Build and maintain relationships with beverage distributors; negotiate pricing and terms.
• Oversee inventory levels, conduct counts, and minimize waste and overstock.
• Monitor beverage cost percentages and budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate on menu development and seasonal beverage offerings.
• Ensure compliance with state/local alcohol laws and resort policies.
• Train and support outlet staff on beverage standards and receiving procedures.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure recipes and standards are followed.
• Plan promotions and events to drive beverage sales resort-wide.
• Track beverage sales, costs, and inventory trends; report insights to leadership.
• Coordinate beverage for resort-wide events and private functions.
