Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Lake Tahoe properties are hiring a Beverage Manager to lead beverage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relations across the resort. You will ensure outlets are stocked, manage costs, and uphold quality and compliance standards while building an exceptional beverage program.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, leadership to train staff, and a passion for hospitality. California RBS and Food Handler certifications are required or obtainable before start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ beverage management, purchasing, or bar management experience.
• Experience in a resort, hotel, or multi-outlet operation preferred.
• HACCP knowledge and local food safety standards are required.
• Current Food Handler and California RBS certifications or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee beverage ordering for all outlets across the resort, ensuring timely procurement.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and terms with distributors.
• Monitor beverage inventory, control costs, and track variances against budgets.
• Develop and refresh beverage menus and signature programs.
• Ensure compliance with state alcohol laws and resort policies.
• Lead training for supervisors and staff on beverage service standards.
