Job summary

Pet Paradise is seeking a Resort Associate to provide loving care for dogs and cats while ensuring safe and clean environments at our resort locations. You’ll supervise play, feed according to schedules, and maintain immaculate suites and runs throughout shifts.

This role offers advancement through our academy programs, on-demand pay, and a benefits package including health and 401(k). Commitment to caring for pets and working as part of a team is essential.

Qualifications

• This position requires physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and maintenance of suites
• True passion for working with animals
• Cheerful, friendly, and a positive team-oriented attitude
• Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and able to lift up to 60 lbs
• Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times
• Ability to receive instructions and adapt to training materials

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with pets inside the resort and in play yards
• Follow feeding times, amounts, and food types
• Maintain cleanliness of suites and dog runs; disinfect and clean areas
• Empty trash, mop floors, clean restrooms and breakroom
• Monitor and record information about pets; report any issues to management/vet services
• Use proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management

Pet Paradise is looking for individuals with a passion for pets to join our team as a Resort Associate and provide care for our four-legged friends.

Starting Rate: $13.50/hour ($0.50 increase 6 months from hire date, additional $0.50 increase on annual anniversary date)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF OUR RESORT ASSOCIATE INCLUDE:

• Supervise and interact with pets both inside the resort and outside in the play yards
• Following directions on feeding times, amounts, and type of food
• Maintaining cleanliness of suites and dog runs by disinfecting, washing floors, scrubbing walls and removing animal waste
• Emptying trash, mopping all floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom
• Monitoring and recording important information about our pets and reporting any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinarian services if applicable
• Using proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management
• Keeping dogs secure and maintaining a high standard of pet safety by following and adhering to the training policies
