Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, PA is seeking a detail-oriented, guest-focused housekeeping team member for a winter seasonal position. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy ensuring spaces are clean and welcoming, this role is for you.

Responsibilities include maintaining public areas inside and outside the resort, disinfecting restrooms, trash removal, floor care, and assisting guests with a friendly, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to work inside and outside of the resort on property.
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; attendance is essential.
• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus.
• Desire to be an integral part of a growing housekeeping team.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness in guest spaces is key.
• Ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas inside and outside of the resort.
• Disinfect and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies promptly.
• Change and transport trash and recycling containers during shift.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum all assigned floor areas.
• Spot clean carpets and upholstery as assigned.
• Clean mirrors and windows with appropriate cleaning products.
• Move tables and chairs; realign items to the proper layout.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas in orderly condition.
• Follow departmental policies and safety procedures; report issues as needed.
• Interact with guests and colleagues in a courteous, professional manner.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Are you someone who always likes to be on the move and ensures spaces are clean and neat? You are in luck! We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer service-conscious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest experience that is beyond their expectations and creates guests for life. We are hiring a winterseasonalposition in the housekeeping department with a variety of shift times available.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to work inside and outside of the resort of all lodges on property
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; timely and reliable attendance is essential even in inclement weather
• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus!
• Desire to be an integral part of a growing housekeeping team
• Attention to detail, cleanliness and dedication to creating a welcoming space for guests will be key to your success in this role. Get ready to make a difference every day!
• Walking and standing throughout entire shift doing assigned tasks, and frequently squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing and pulling
• Occasionally lifting or carrying more than 50 lbs, and frequently reaching above shoulder level
• Ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly, professional manner
• Ability to work both independently and within a team, often with little supervision
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Customer service-oriented attitude and demeanor
• Work area noise level can vary based on assigned shift

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas inside and outside of the resort
• Disinfect and Sanitize restrooms and replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other items in restrooms continuously throughout shift in a timely and efficient manner
• Change and transport trash and recycling receptacles continuously throughout shift in a timely and efficient manner inside and outside of the resort
• Sweep, mop and vacuum all assigned floor areas during shift
• Carpet spot cleaning and upholstery spot cleaning if assigned during shift
• Clean all mirrors inside of windows using proper cleaning chemicals, which may include the use of a step ladder
• Move tables, chairs/stools, waste bins, small equipment on wheels, and other items for proper cleaning; realign items according to recommended layout
• Maintain equipment, tools and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition
• Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and standards of cleanliness when performing tasks
• Report any maintenance issues noticed during cleaning tasks
• Acknowledge and comply with all safety & emergency procedures
