Job summary

Town and Country Resort in San Diego is seeking an energetic Activities Manager to lead our resort activities program, engage guests, and develop a high-performing team. You will partner with Food & Beverage, Conference Services, Marketing, and other departments to deliver memorable experiences and drive guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, hospitality expertise, and the ability to manage diverse activities for all ages.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in hospitality, recreation, resort activities, event planning, or a related field; resort experience is preferred.
• Strong guest service skills and the ability to create an inviting, engaging atmosphere.
• Experience training, supervising, scheduling, and motivating team members.
• Creativity and initiative in developing activities for guests with diverse interests and needs.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and event coordination skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, staffing, supplies, and multiple priorities.
• Sound judgment and the ability to remain composed and flexible when plans change.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create Experiences Worth Remembering by developing a year-round calendar of activities and events.
• Plan and deliver holiday celebrations, themed events, live performances, and special programming.
• Develop ideas to encourage guest participation and activity-related revenue.
• Lead and supervise Resort Activities Attendants; set expectations for guest engagement and safety.
• Coordinate with other departments to align programming with events and group experiences.
• Monitor labor, supplies, costs, and program results; optimize resources within budget.
• Maintain accurate inventories and update activity schedules and descriptions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred
