Job summary

You will weigh and blend materials, maintain material supplies to machines, purge and clean equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and sanitation. Ideal candidates have forklift experience, 1–2 years in warehousing, and a commitment to safety and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of facilities inventory movement for shipping and inventory control.
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather, weigh and blend materials.
• Maintain supply of raw materials to machines (raw material, colors, etc.).
• Grind material, label regrind, keep grinding area organized and clean.
• Assists in purging machines and cleaning magnets in the hopper throat.
• Connect vacuum system to supply material to machines.
• Document movement of materials and complete all required paperwork.
• Gather lot control information for Quality Control.
• Help to monitor inventory levels and advise inventory control of low volumes.
• Check equipment (blenders, dye feeders, grinders).
• Unload bulk resin trailers.
• Keep work area clean and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintains safety in the department.
• Perform other warehousing and related tasks
• Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all products coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards.
