Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. is hiring a Material Handler for our Salt Lake City, UT facility. The role involves handling raw materials, weighing and blending, unloading resin trailers, and ensuring accurate paperwork and inventory control.

A forklift license/experience is required, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred. On-site position with safety and sanitation emphasis. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and working knowledge of basic computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of inventory movement for shipping and inventory control.
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather, weigh and blend materials.
• Maintain supply of raw materials to machines.
• Grind material, label regrind, keep grinding area organized and clean.
• Assist in purging machines and cleaning magnets in hopper throat.
• Connect vacuum system to supply material to machines.
• Document movement of materials and complete required paperwork.
• Gather lot control information for Quality Control.
• Help monitor inventory levels and advise inventory control of low volumes.
• Unload bulk resin trailers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work area.
• Maintain safety in the department.
