Job summary

Lionsgate is seeking a Financial Analyst in Santa Monica to ensure residuals are set up and paid in compliance with guild agreements. You will interpret union agreements, gather documentation, verify proration calculations, and prepare residual estimates for quarterly reporting.

The role involves auditing, ad-hoc analyses, and collaborating with production, business affairs, legal, and accounting teams to communicate effectively across levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel.
• Attentive to detail and keen judgement to make sound decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Above average organization skills with the ability to multi-task and meet strict contractual deadlines.
• Ability to work pro-actively and autonomously in the role, but also as a team player within the residuals group.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, set-up, and report residuals accurately in a timely manner and collaborate with the rest of team as needed.
• Liaise with payroll companies, business units, and various guilds to gather proper documentation for set-up purposes.
• Test and implement process improvements, efficiency, and standardization.
• Assist in gathering documents for various audits.
• Interpret and assess contracts for residual subject-related matter.
• Responsible for special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested.
