Job summary

Mcjcohio is seeking a Youth Specialist to supervise and coordinate treatment programs in a juvenile facility. The role includes planning, development, and evaluation of the program across shifts, with on-call responsibilities and reporting requirements.

The position requires leadership in a residential setting, experience in juvenile operations, and the ability to train staff and monitor safety and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Social/Behavioral Science or related field, with 4 years management experience in a juvenile justice system.
• Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assume direct responsibility for treatment program implementation on first, second and/or third shifts.
• Participate in the planning, development and coordination of the treatment program; maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Provide training and coordinate performance evaluations.
• Investigate grievances, injuries, escapes, and property destruction; take appropriate action.
• Participate in on-call, treatment review and team meetings.
