Job summary

Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, within the Division of Student Affairs, seeks a Coordinator for the Residential Well-being team to engage residential students in programs that foster belonging, inclusion, and civil dialogue.

The role reports to a Managing Director in Residential Well-being and is a Regular twelve-month appointment. The successful candidate will lead a team of student leaders, identify opportunities for dialogue, and contribute to a healthy campus climate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Be team-oriented and demonstrate adaptability and initiative.
• Demonstrate vision and creativity in program design and promotion, as well as strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and embrace change as an opportunity for creativity, learning, and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Residential Well-being Student Leaders (approx. 15–20).
• Empower residential students to engage across differences and foster belonging.
• Identify trends and opportunities for dialogue, intervention, and programming to promote acceptance and civility.
• Grow professionally within the Department and Division.
