Job summary

Peoria's Public Works Department has an excellent opportunity for an Equipment Operator in the residential collection division. The ideal candidate will operate heavy equipment for excavating, trenching, street cleaning, and delivering refuse and recycling materials to the landfill, and operate front load, side load, rear load, roll-off collection vehicles, and an articulated tractor.

A valid Arizona Class B CDL is required at hire; Class A and Tanker/HazMAT endorsements may be required within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 9-12 months of experience in a similar or related position.
• This role requires heavy physical exertion.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for excavating, trenching, street cleaning, and delivering refuse and recycling to the landfill.
