Job summary

Wesley Health Centers - JWCH Institute, Inc. in South Los Angeles is seeking a Program Administrator to oversee the Residential Treatment Program for Women and Children.

You will manage daily operations, ensure compliance with SAPC/DMC standards, and support the Administrative Program Director in a mission-driven environment. The role emphasizes supervising non-clinical staff, coordinating admissions, maintaining regulatory compliance, and reporting on program performance.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in substance use disorder/mental health field.
• One to two years direct supervisory/management experience.
• Registered or Certified SUD Counselor per DHCS requirements (CADTP/CCAPP).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Must meet insurability requirements for driving program vehicles.
• JWCH/Human Resources recommends vaccination against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Administrative Program Director in administrative and operational aspects of the program.
• Supervise non-clinical staff including support, drivers, and kitchen staff.
• Act as liaison between clinical staff and clients on disciplinary matters.
• Document non-clinical group sessions in the EHR system.
• Orient new staff and visitors to facility protocols and program policies.
• Support admissions and client onboarding with the Intake Coordinator.
• Manage hiring, evaluations, staff development, and salary recommendations.
• Monitor safety, quality, and effectiveness of daily program operations.
• Ensure licensing and certification compliance with the Administrative Program Director.
• Maintain adherence to state, county, and federal standards and treatment guidelines.
• Submit administrative reports timely; generate contract compliance reports.
• Attend trainings to stay current with behavioral health leadership best practices.
• Conduct regular chart reviews for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Intake and Billing to maintain census and financial targets.
• Foster relationships with community partners and service providers.
• Oversee client transportation and program vehicle usage.
• Maintain inventory and procurement of supplies.
• Organize incident reports and attendance records; conduct emergency drills.
• Coordinate staff certifications (physicals, TB tests, CPR/First Aid).
• Track SAPC-mandated annual trainings for staff.
• Liaise between Residential, Outpatient, Recovery Bridge Housing, and Corporate Office.
