Endeavors is seeking a Clinician to support disaster shelters in San Antonio, providing trauma-informed mental health services to evacuees and families affected by hurricanes. You will work with shelter teams and community partners to assess needs, deliver crisis interventions, and coordinate referrals while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
The role requires a Master’s degree in a behavioral science field with clinical experience, licensure eligibility inFlorida or equivalent, and NIMS training.

The Clinician uses sound professional judgment and best practices to support the mental health, safety and well-being of every resident in care while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards and requirements. Provides trauma-informed, culturally competent mental health support services to individuals and families displaced by hurricanes during mass care shelter activations. Clinicians help mitigate emotional distress, support coping and stabilization, and facilitate referrals for higher levels of care when needed. Services are delivered in coordination with shelter teams, healthcare partners, and county emergency management staff
Must have a Master’s of Social Work with clinical experience in the program; or Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which direct clinical experience is a program requirement.
Clinician must be licensed LPC, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, LPC-I, LMFT-A, or LMSW or eligible for licensure preferred in State of Florida. 2+ year clinical related experience and/or training including experience working in crisis intervention. Proficiency in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills), required. Preferred experience in working with vulnerable populations.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) Core Curriculum Courses.

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
Driver’s License with a clear record.
Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
