Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking full-time Treatment Counselors to join our Crisis/IRTS team in Minnesota. The role emphasizes crisis intervention, de-escalation, and person-centered care within a residential setting.

The position offers evening shifts, travel between locations as needed, and a structured benefits package. A Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or equivalent experience is required, with a Master’s degree preferred for advanced pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 30 semester/45 quarter hours in behavioral science with practicum or internship.
• 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental illness or traumatic brain injury/developmental disabilities with relevant training.
• Fluency in non-English language spoken by 50% of clients or grad-level clinical training assignment.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients using person-centered principles to support recovery goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation while ensuring safety.
• Conduct assessments, treatment plans, and discharge planning as directed.
