Job summary

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking full-time Treatment Counselors for the Crisis/IRTS team in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves engaging clients with person-centered care in intensive residential settings, administering crisis interventions, and coordinating treatment plans.

Evening rotating schedule provides 6 days off per pay period and higher weekend differential. Qualifications include a behavioral science degree or equivalent experience (2,000 hours supervised), plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field required; practicum/internship with adults or children served.
• 2,000 hours of supervised experience in mental illness services or related fields.
• Practicum/internship focused on behavioral sciences; fluency in another language of clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage clients using person-centered approaches to support recovery.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge aligned with treatment goals and plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation while ensuring safety.
• Develop assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans; train on plan preparation if applicable.
• Offer coaching and skill-building to clients as needed.
• Assist with intake, orientation, and paperwork; support program operations.
• Administer medications per policy when applicable.
