Join to apply for the Residential Therapist role at One Hope United

The Residential Therapist works to alleviate or stabilize mental health symptoms of selected clients, which impair their ability to adjust to home, community integration, or maintain living stability. The role involves providing therapeutic services to individuals, families, or groups regarding psychological or emotional problems, including developing assessment and treatment plans for clients.

Job Duties
  1. Maintain the highest ethical standards in accordance with professional affiliations and demonstrate strength-oriented practice.
  2. Provide clinical direction to a residential home team, facilitate clinical meetings, and participate in staffings and team meetings.
  3. Serve as a central communication point for all mental health-related services, support, treatment, and counseling.
  4. Plan and administer therapeutic treatment to youth, regularly discuss progress with clients, and encourage feedback and ownership of outcomes.
  5. Offer coaching, training, and supervision to residential staff.
  6. Complete required documentation such as Admission Notes, Mental Health Assessments, Treatment Plans, and Court Reports within deadlines.
  7. Monitor client progress and reassess their level of functioning periodically.
  8. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical and case management services daily.
  9. Complete transition and aftercare plans as per protocols.
  10. Coordinate with medical providers to rule out symptoms and approach treatment collaboratively.
  11. Provide internal and external training as needed.
  12. Represent OHU at court hearings, meetings, and reviews on behalf of youth and families.
  13. Adhere to Trauma-Informed and Evidence-Based Program practices.
  14. Perform on-call responsibilities on the residential campus.
  15. Treat all program information as confidential.
Qualifications

Education: MA/MS in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required. License eligibility required; license preferred.

Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred.

Other: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required, with appropriate auto insurance coverage.
