Job summary

Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) in Lenexa, KS seeks a Residential Team Leader to supervise and coordinate residential services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on Person Centered Planning, behavior supports, and staff mentoring within a supportive county program.

The position requires a high school diploma, 5 years in human services, 3 years with IDD, and completion of JCDS trainings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required.
Five (5) years of human services or relevant experience required.
Three (3) years experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or other vulnerable populations.
Must complete JCDS training (Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid, MANDT, ANE, etc.).
Background screenings including KDADS required screenings and registry checks.

Responsibilities

Leads development of a High Performing Organization via Pillars of Performance; mentors and coaches staff.
Provides leadership to Direct Support Professionals in Person Centered Planning and Positive Behavior Supports; trains staff and reviews plans.
Ensures health and safety priorities; conducts site visits; manages budgetary responsibilities for groceries and petty cash; coordinates on-call duties 24/7.
Engages in program development and collaboration with community partners to improve services for adults with I/DD.
Executes quality assurance for service delivery and monitors requests and training needs.
