Johnson County Government seeks a Senior Direct Support Professional within the Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) Residential division to lead direct care staff and deliver person-centered supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The role focuses on coaching individuals in daily living skills, coordinating services, and maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring safety and quality of care.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a human services field are required.
• May require KS/MO driver’s license, depending on department or agency.
• Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide, or coach individuals on personal care needs; crisis interventions, including safe handling and monitoring of medications; ensures safety of individuals.
• Teach and support on skills to enable independent living; collaborate with families to modify plans and promote coping skills.
• Organize care coordination meetings; complete documentation for direct services; monitor schedules based on needs.

Conocimientos
