Job summary

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) in Saint Albans, VT is hiring for a Full Time role in our SILP, a residential program for individuals with mental illness. The position runs Thu–Sat and every other Wed, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with weekend availability required.

You will foster a therapeutic environment, provide person-centered interventions, support daily living skills, administer medications as directed, and transport clients to appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential programs or working with individuals with mental health challenges.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Warm, compassionate personality and team-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to transport clients.

Responsibilities

Are you a compassionate, energetic, and self-motivated individual looking to make a meaningful impact? Northwestern Counseling & Support Services, Inc. is currently hiring for our Supported Independent Living Program (SILP) a residential program supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

We’re seeking a dedicated team member to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend availability is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fostering a therapeutic, supportive, and stable environment in both residential and community settings
• Providing person-centered, strength-based interventions tailored to individual needs
• Supporting daily living skills, including preparing and cooking meals
• Administering medications as directedTransporting clients to appointments and community activities
