Job summary

Northwestern Counseling & Support Services (NCSS) in Saint Albans, VT is hiring for a Full Time role in our SILP, a residential program for individuals with mental illness. The position runs Thu–Sat and every other Wed, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with weekend availability required.

You will foster a therapeutic environment, provide person-centered interventions, support daily living skills, administer medications as directed, and transport clients to appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential programs or working with individuals with mental health challenges.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Warm, compassionate personality and team-oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Foster a therapeutic, supportive, and stable environment in residential and community settings.
• Provide person-centered, strength-based interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Support daily living skills, including preparing and cooking meals.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities.
